Difference between INTEL P/N EN80C251SB16 and TN80C251SB16

Hello,

I am working in the Codification team of AnsaldoSTS France and I have a question about the obsolete INTEL microprocessor 80C251 which is codified in our codification database.

Please, could you tell me if the following both INTEL references are the exact same components ? (same mechanical/electrical parameters and same temperature ranges):

• EN80C251SB16

• TN80C251SB16

It look like yes but I do not find real proof on the web to state it.

But sometimes I find information that the “EN” part is about commercial temperature range and the “TN” part is about industrial temperature range, if that is true I cannot consider the both references as exact same components…

Please, could you give me your feedback on that request?

The EN80C251SB16 is the lead free (RoHS compliant) version of the TN80C251SB16. You can confirm this information on page 11 of the Product Change Notification (PCN) 104316 that can be found at:

This migration process is unrelated to functionality of the devices related to it.

By the way, it is important to let you know that the cited devices have been discontinued and are no longer supported as you may notice at the attached document and the following PCN:
