Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered

We have a motherboard that we designed with TigerLake i7-11850HE CPU. The OS is Windows 10 IoT LTSC 2021. We run Passmark BurninTest 10.2 to exercise the system. When running Passmark 3D test we get an error and the aligns with an error in Event Viewer "Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered". The Intel driver is 31.0.101.4641 8/1/23. This happens MOST of the time on all systems anywhere from 0 to 5 times. We test we need to resolve it. What can we do to prevent this from happening so Passmark will complete the 12 hr test with a PASSED status?

Hello @THarr1,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

I looked internally and there is one solution that has been shared that may help with this issue:

"Search for the registry key in registry editor: DisplaySoftwareWaControl and set the value to 1".

Also, I have seen in other platforms that Passmark BurninTest version may affect, as with an older version the issue was present but with a version update it got fixed. If you still have the problem, it could be fixed on their side too with a newer version in the future.

Best regards,
