Am currently investigating the RoHS status of the obsolete N80C196KB16 microcontroller IC and have had XRF pre-screening carried out. This identified lead on the external pins which was not a surprise, and also bromine in the plastic case indicating the presence of a flame retardant. Need to know which flame retardant was used to determine if it is one that is prohibited by the RoHS directive or not. Would appreciate any information available on this.
