I350 register read/write

Hi,

I'm developing the diagnostic application on a embedded system which using the Broadwell DE processor and I350 Ethernet Controller.

There're two purposes as following but not sure whether these are doable in "user-space application" or not:

 P1. Read/Write Register on I350.

P2. Performing loopback test on I350 in specific speed(10/100/1000Mbps) without Celo.

If P1 is doable, should I use iqvlinux or igb driver to access I350 register in user-space(i.e., create a file descriptor then access driver via ioctl).

Best regards,

Hello, @CHuan73:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

In order to be on the same page, could you please clarify if the application that you want to develop is similar to the one stated as a reference at the following website?

Waiting for the answer to our question.
