Hi all,
We are using Intel IO margin Tool to access USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) signal electrical margin of our carrier board. We are using intel i5-8365UE Whiskey Lake Platform.
The Intel IO margin Tool is working fine for PCIe and USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) Test but we are facing issues we have tried to use this tool for USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) .
we are always getting the message like the following :
Additional testing required
and more strange is that the Average High , Low, Left and Right requirement of Eye Mask. The Intel IO margin tools shows same requirement for both USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps) and Gen 2 (10 Gbps) devices which is not convincing.
Attached is the eye measured measurement for a USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.1 gen 2 devices and also a PCIe x4 NVMe , all of there interfaces are from a intel i5-8365UE Whiskey Lake Platform .
Average High , Low, Left and Right requirement of Eye Mask are same for USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Gen 2 ?
Setup details :
Platform : intel i5-8365UE Whiskey Lake
Operating system (OS) : Windows 10
Intel IO Margin Tool (version 1.2.097) -> (On target Configuration - Supported OS)
