S/W strap for x16 or x8/x8 on PEG

Currently, we change the CFG5&CFG6 Pull-up/Pull-down by hardware to configure the PEG with x16 or x8+x8(bifurcation).

I wonder is it possible to configure the PEG with x16 or x8+x8 only by BIOS setting?
