10GbE Peformance in windows 7

Hi all,

I have a problem with a X520-DA2 adapter in windows 7

When connected to a storage VIA Fiber or copper I get a transfer rate of 260-500 MB/s

But when the same card is connected to a Server 2008 R2 machine I get a transfer rate of 900-1110 Mb/s

Dose anyone know why windows 7 won't perform at full speed?

also when I configure jumbo package on 9014 the network seems to stop working

One thing is to try to test raw network performance first, then use whatever protocols for storage etc. My favourite is iperf that exists for linux and windows, so can do Lin-Win transfers...
