Hi, I'm looking at the 82580EB quad-port gigabit ethernet controller right now. From a short chat with support I was told there is no extended temp range part available. The product brief states an operating range of -10 to 85C. Does anyone have experience using this chip or a similar one outside of this range, specifically down to -40C? What is the criteria for establishing the range - is there consistent failure or damage if the chip is taken below -10C? Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
