Are Programming Guides for Intel 10Gb NICs available?

Can anyone point me to resources that would help when writing a custom device driver for these cards on a Linux derived (hardened) OS? I have downloaded the open source drivers and a couple tuning guides and presentations, but a programming manual for these would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Cliff

Check out the 82598 and 82599 datasheets are on http://sourceforge.net/projects/e1000/files/ SourceForge.

Mark. Don't ask me how I downloaded the driver and source code, but didn't think to look any further down the page. It is my first time writing an open source driver, but more likely I've just been managing and not doing for too long. Many Thanks!

Glad I could help. I asked someone else who pointed out to me that you were probably looking for these datasheets. Before, I never scrolled down far enough to see these either.

Have a great day!
