Hi all,
Can someone confirm that if one wants to configure active-backup bonding with 2 VFs, the fail_over_mac option should be set to 1?
According to my experiments and web searches, it looks like this is the only supported option but the "Configuring QoS Features with Intel Flexible Port Partitioning" document [1] doesn't give much details about it.
Thanks in advance for your inputs,
Simon

Hi Simon, thanx for coming to our site.
The fail_over_mac option should definately be set to 1. Is a requirement of the bonding driver, not really of the SR-IOV VF's.
thanx,
Patrick

Thanks for the clear answer.
Although I would say that fail_over_mac should be 1 because of SR-IOV VFs. Using physical interfaces, you can leave fail_over_mac to the default value.
