Can I insert "Intel® PRO/1000 GT Desktop Adapter" to a PCIe slot?

I'm going to order a new server which only has one PCIe slot: PCIe x16（True x16 Gen2).

I'm wordering if the "Intel® PRO/1000 GT Desktop Adapter" can work with this slot?

Pro 1000GT desktop adapter is PCI -based, it is not supported on PCI-E slot.
