Thank you for posting at Wired Communities. I am sorry to hear what happened. Just to double check what is the driver version you downloaded? Please check if you have tried this version

AS this is an onboard NIC, it is recommended you contact the board vendor to obtain the customized driver from the board vendor as the version available on Intel website are generic version. What is the desktop system brand and model? You may refer to the link below regarding support of OEM onboard NIC.
