E1000e eth0: reset adapter unexpectedly

Hello Support Team,

I am experiencing issues with my network interface on an Ubuntu 22.04 system with kernel version 5.15.0-39-generic. Specifically, my client is failing to obtain an IP address, and I have observed the following error repeatedly in the /var/log/syslog:

E1000e eth0: reset adapter unexpectedly

 

Background Information:

  • Operating System: Ubuntu 22.04(LTS)
  • Kernel Version: 5.15.0-39-generic
  • Network Interface: eth0 (Intel I219-LM)
  • Network Driver: e1000e

 

This problem can only be solved by physically restarting the device. And sometimes even this is not enough, we need to restart it several times.
