E810-2CQDA2 DR1

E810 works using SR transceivers on Debian operating system.

Tried Intel compatible DR1 (SPTSLP2SLCDF) transceiver but couldn't link to Arista switch (also with DR1 transceiver).

Is DR1 supported by E810 (there's nothing in the driver about DR1)?

Hi WHL1826,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

According to Intel® Product Compatibility Tool, we can confirm that E810 supports the DR1.

In order to check why it couldn't be linked with Arista Switch. We highly advised you to contact Arista further to check which cable is compatible with the switch.

Kindly let us know if you have any questions.

Hayat

I should have added that the Arista switch can connect to other devices via the DR1 transceivers,

I’m only having a problem with the E810 to connect via the DR1 transceiver.

I bought the Intel DR1 transceiver because of the Compatibility Tool web page.

Since there’s nothing in the driver about the DR1 transceiver, does that mean the transceiver does multiplexing and demultiplexing without any difference to the E810 card?

Hello WHL1826,

Can you confirm if you have updated your E810 NVM firmware.

Kindly update using the link below if you are using Intel Genuine Ethernet Card.

Please provide us with the Front and Back picture of the card for us to verify.

Thank you.

We bought the cards from Synnex - a very big distributor for Intel.

No one is in the lab today to get a picture.
