Hello,
I have an E810-XXVDA2 network card. I'm trying to update the firmware but I get the following output. This is on Ubuntu Linux.
Num Description Ver.(hex) DevId S:B Status
=== ================================== ============ ===== ====== ==============
01) Intel(R) Ethernet Network Adapter N/A(N/A) 159B 00:129 Access error
E810-XXV-2
I also have Windows 10 and it gives the same "Acess error" message when I try to update the firmware on Windows.
Does anyone have an idea or suggestion about this? Thank you.
Regards,
Mark

This has been resolved. It turns out that I had to update the driver first. Apparently the driver is linked to the firmware version in some way.
Sorry for the extra noise.

Hi,
How to identify the full name/description of my Intel(R) Ethernet 25G 2P E810-XXV Adapter.
Question: Is it ?
- Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVDA2: which supports dual 25GbE ports.
or
- Intel Ethernet Network Adapter E810-XXVAM2: which supports dual 25GbE ports with advanced offloads.
