Hello PRudi,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
Kindly share the following details for us to check on your query.
1.) System Support Utility log of your system. This will allow us to check your Adapter details and configuration. This would also help us identify if you are using an OEM or retail version of Intel Ethernet Adapter. Kindly refer to the steps below.
a- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/91600/Intel-System-Support-Utility
b- Open SSU.exe
c- Mark the box "Everything" and then click "Scan".
d- When finished scanning, click "Next".
e- Click on "Save" and attach the file to a post.
2.) Share the link where you downloaded the driver.
3.) Are you using 1809 version on your Windows 10?
We look forward hearing from you.
Best regards,

Hello Patrick,
Thank you for providing the requested details.
Please be informed that there is no Intel Windows 10 driver for the Intel® 82579LM Gigabit Ethernet, the available Windows driver is the inbox (built-in driver) from Microsoft*. For Inbox support, it doesn't include Intel® PROSet for Windows* Device Manager and Intel® Advanced Network Services (Intel® ANS) driver for teaming and VLANS.
Please visit this link for Windows® 10 Support for Intel® Ethernet Adapters
Let us know if you have additional questions and clarifications on this matter.
We look forward to hear from you.

Hello Patrick,
Thank you for the patience on this matter.
After further checking, the last full support for 82579LM was RS4 (1803). We would suggest to go with adapter that has full support like the I210-T1.
You may visit this link for the product specifications of Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter I210-T1
Looking forward to hear from you.
