Hi there,
I am facing the same problem as described the topic :
community.intel.com/t5/Ethernet-Products/Ethernet-Connection-2-1219-LM-quot-Cannot-Start-quot/m-p/1299150#M25831
No idea on how to reopen it ?
My laptop is not the same. I have got a lenovo x270.
This is the same network card.
This card is not working on different linux (debian, ubunto, kali) neither on windows (10, 11).
I tried different bios without any success.
I have done a network card firmware update from auto update on lenovo site.
It was working before this update. No idea on how comeback.
I saw some tools to do NVM stuff but no idea on how to use it.
Any advice is welcome !

Hi Jean,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
In order for us to investigate further, please provide the information below:
- Is the ethernet a prebuilt or the card purchased separately?
- Is there any other error message(screenshot)?
Regards,
Vijay N.

Hello Giov,
Greetings!
Thank you for your prompt response and for providing detailed information regarding the network card issue encountering.
We have reviewed the log findings, which indicate the following:
Product Type: Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I219-LM
Service Name: e1dexpress
Status: Device cannot start.
Based on these logs, it's evident that the status of the network card is "Device cannot start." This issue arose after performing a firmware update from Lenovo, despite attempting a BIOS update without success.
Considering these circumstances, I kindly request your assistance in exploring the possibility of reverting to the original firmware version. Given your expertise and resources, I believe Lenovo support would be best equipped to address this matter and provide guidance on potential solutions.
Regards,
Vijay N.
