I have an in house game streaming setup, and I noticed some problems with dropped frames due to network stability difficulties.
After a lot of troubleshooting I isolated the problem with the receiving end of the stream which is an Intel NUC11TNHi3 and more specifically the Intel Ethernet Controller i225-LM.
Wired receiving connection via this controller is very unstable and drops about 17% (attached screenshot) of all datagrams with a constant stream of 50Mbps/UDP. The higher the bitrate the higher the drop rate. If I dial back the Mbps to under 30Mpbs the drop rate is close to 0.0%.
And to be even more precise it's ONLY when receiving data, when I flip my situation around and the NUC becomes the server it has no problems sending 900Mpbs without any datagram drops on the receiving end.
This is tested with the iPerf networking command tool, so it's easily reproducible.
If I connect an USB-C dock with Ethernet to the NUC the situation is improved somewhat, but definitely not perfect. 50Mbps/UDP then gives 2% datagram drop rate.
The weird thing is that wifi gives the best performance (50Mbps/UDP 0,5% drop rate), but I want to have a wired connection.
So what gives? Will this be fixed in the future or am I missing something? I'm quite surprised about the state of this older but still premium product.
All networking is done via shielded >Cat6 cable.
All connected via 1GBps switch/router (tested multiple).
All drivers, BIOS etc are updated to the latest version (but also tried other / older version without any results)

I understand that you are having issues with the ethernet connection, I will do my best to assist you.
Please attach an Intel SSU report so we can have more information about your system:
Intel® System Support Utility for Windows.
Note: Make sure to mark the box that says "everything" before pressing the Scan button. After that, click on "Next>" and select "Save" and then, attach the .txt file.

Ok thanks, attached you will find the file.
Let me know if you need anything else.
ps. I received a cheap 15 euro USB to Ethernet dongle, and that works way better then the internal Ethernet controller. Almost no dropped datagrams.

Hello, @DJZen
Thank you for your time.
We checked that the system is up to date. If other devices are working fine in the same network, the issue could be related to the Ethernet port, so we recommend you contact your local Intel Customer Support for help with an RMA process:
U.S. and Canada: Intel Customer Support
Europe, Middle East, and Africa: Intel Customer Support EMEA
Asia-Pacific: Intel Customer Support APAC
