How to add multiple tagged VLANS on a VF bond in Redhat?

Hello,

Can you please let me know how I would go about setting up multiple tagged VLANS on the same VF bond, I will tag the vlans on the switch also but what commands do I need to run for the VF's to work?

So two VF's bonded together to form bond0, how can multiple vlans be added to this bond?

Normally in Redhat with non virtualized NIC's you would just create additional bond files from bond0, example bond0.10, bond0.20, bond0.30, within the bond file you would put VLAN= and then make sure you tag those vlans on the switch ports, how can this be achieved with VF's?

Seems like there is a way to do this, though I can't recall off the top of my head. We'll go into the lab and see what we can figure out for you early next week.

OK we did some digging.

I am assuming you have the VF assigned to a VM. In this case you can, from the VM itself use the vconfig utility to assign up to 63 VLAN tags to the VF's before you add them to the bond.

From the VMM however you can only assign a single VLAN tag to a VF.
