How to fix Intel ethernet (2) I219v ERROR

Hello! I'll dive right into it.

Out of the blue I've got an error with my ethernet I219v, it just doesn't work. I've updated it automatic (it says I got the latest driver) ànd tried to do it manually. Nothing worked. I tried redo my windows but I've got the same issues (windows 1903).

There is no way I can connect to the internet, also my wifi isn't function as the driver won't even show up. Does anybody have an solution?

I've been in contact with Asus's technical support, they say it seems that my mainboard is defective.

So i'm going to RMA it ! Thanks anyways for the fast-reply !

Hello DVanR2,

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.

For me to further investigate on this issue, let me gather the following details.

  1. Is it working before?
  2. Can you see the device in the device manager? Are you getting exclamation mark?
  3. Are you using on-board NIC or PCIe NIC?
  4. What is the brand and model of your system?

If you have questions, please let us know.

  3. On-board
  4. It's a self build machine, i've had this setup for a year now. i9 7900x, Asus Prime x299 Deluxe (motherboard), corsair DDR4 64GB (16x4), 1080ti...

Hello DVanR2,

Thank you for the quick reply. Please try the following steps.

  1. Re-seat your NIC and check if that will work.
  2. Try to install the NIC on a different PCIe slot.
  3. Try a different NIC in your system.
  4. Try your I219-V in a different system.

If you have questions, please let us know.
