How to use unsupported SFP+ modules on Intel X520-DA2 on Windows?

Hi,

I've got a bunch of Intel X520-DA2 NICs we'd like to use with Cisco and other third party SFP+ modules. Under Linux, there is an unsupported flag we can pass to the kernel module to disable this enforcement however there doesn't seem to be anything similar for Windows users.

Is there a workaround to use these unsupported modules with the Intel X520 series NICs?

Cheers!

Hi,

No, there is not a similar option available for Windows. You are limited to the supported modules listed at http://www.intel.com/support/network/adapter/pro100/sb/CS-030612.htm http://www.intel.com/support/network/adapter/pro100/sb/CS-030612.htm.
