Hi AndrewW,,

Thank you for the post. What is the driver version you installed for Linux kernel version 3.19.5?

Did you obtain the driver from Intel website or from Asus website site? Thanks.

Hi wb,

I am using vanilla, unmodified, untainted linux 3.19.5 pulled and built from git at https://git.kernel.org/ https://git.kernel.org/ and the linux kernel module that it contains.

If the relevant kernel developers are not present here I'll take my report to the linux kernel mailing list instead. Please advise.

Hi AndrewW,

Here is the Linux driver we have for I217-LM based on the kernel version in the website below: The release supports the latest 2.4 series kernel as well as 2.6.x and 3.x versions.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/15817/Network-Adapter-Driver-for-PCI-E-Gigabit-Network-Con... Intel® Download Center

Hope this clarifies.

I'm using backport kernel 4.3+70~bpo8+1 and this issue append to me

some times. may be on heavy uploading, but not sure. I tried the

command :

ethtool -K eth0 gso off gro off tso off

but not working.

I tried to install the 3.3.3 driver from intel, but not working.

I fall back to the 3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u4 kernel and it's working well.

I have a asrock Z87E-ITX motherboard with i217v network (don't know if

this can help)

please help.

here is the messages from syslog :

Hi Jaoued,

Thank you for the info. Have you checked with Asus for the driver and also check on the hardware aspect as I understand this is onboard NIC on their system.

Hello,

my motherboard is not asus, it's an asrock. by the way I checked the drivers of course on the manufacturer site. It's an onboard NIC right. It's related to the kernel. because on 3.16 it's working. do you have a driver for 4.x kernel ?

Hi Jaoued,

Thank you for the correction. These are the available Linux driver and supported kernel version for I217-V

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/15817/Network-Adapter-Driver-for-PCI-E-Gigabit-Network-Con... Download Network Adapter Driver for PCI-E* Gigabit Network Connections under Linux*

You may further check with Asrock

Thanks
