My MB uses the I218-V NIC. I recently updated to Intel PROSet Version 20.0.10.0 from the Intel support site.
The PROSet version is displayed correctly on the Link Speed tab, but the driver tab still shows the old driver version, 12.12.80.19.
Why is this? The driver version should update along with the PROSet version, correct?

Hi Elprice,
The driver version is different from the PROSet version. PROSet version normally is higher in version number.
thanks,

I downloaded https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/18713/Network-Adapter-Driver-for-Windows-7-?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/18713/eng/PROWinx64.exe PROWinx64.exe "Network Adapter Driver for Windows 7*" v20.0 from the Intel download site.
This is the only option available from the Intel site to update my drivers and the driver version didn't update.
Shulkd I expect to update my drivers and not see the driver version update?

Hi Elprice,
The PROSet software is a package that contains the driver version for different Intel network adapters models, there are times only software or drivers of some adapters are being updated.
In case your onboard NIC is on a 3rd party system, it is recommended to contact your system vendor for updated drivers.
Hope this clarifies.
