I219-LM Change Tx/Rx buffer size in Windows 7

Hello,

I am using the newest driver for the Intel I219-LM network adapter in Windows 7. I need to change the size of the receive and

transmit buffers to:

Receive buffers : 512

Transmit buffers: 128

I can't seem to find the option to change the parameters !

For the Intel 82579LM the option is easily available under the "advanced tab" for "network connection properties".

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Regards

Jonas

HI Jonas,

What is the brand and model of your system? What is the driver version used? (Is it from Intel website or the board vendor? ), please share the download link.

Thanks,

HI Jonas,

It is recommended to use the customized driver from you laptop vendor as the driver on our website is generic version. The laptop vendor is the one to have the customized driver that suits the onboard NIC embedded on the system.

Have you contacted Getac support already?

Please refer to the website below:

Hi Jonas,

Please feel free to update me if you have contacted your system vendor and if further assistance needed? We have a newer driver version 22.3 posted, in case you want to try:

Hello,

Thanks for following up. I have installed the new driver in the link you provided. Unfortunately

the new driver does not support changing the settings for transmit and receive buffers.

I will contact Getac support as suggested and keep you updated.

Thank you.

Best regards

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

Please double check if you have below option and can configure from here:

Go to Device Manager ->Device Properties-> Advanced (tab) -> Performance Options |Properties...

Select Receive Buffers and set Value

Select Transmit Buffers and set Value

Hope this helps.

Hello,

I have now checked the preformance options, and it turns out that options for changing Receive/Transmit buffers now is available. Maybe due to the driver update.

I still need to test if the network device i am using now is working as it should.

Thanks,

Best regards,

Jonas
