Currently using driver updated by Windows. Here are specs on driver properties.

  • Driver Provider: Intel
  • Driver Date: 3/21/2017
  • Driver Version: 12.15.25.6
  • Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatability Publisher

Sensing works with this driver but does not for many others including release version 24.1. Need to be able to identify literal driver for which cable plug/unplug is detected and re-identified as physically connected. Detection of cable plug/unplug is random for customers. Hope is i can point them to Intel site and state download this driver. Bad new is does not work for version 24.1.

Before anything can be done, you have to upgrade Windows. you are THREE years out-of-date, and your version of W10 is not supported.

Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10, and upgrade.

Windows 10 is now upgraded. We have two PCs being used for test.

PC 1: Windows 10 Pro version 1903 (Cable connect/disconnect and then reconnect . THIS WORKS)

I219-LM:

  • Driver Date: 3/21/2017
  • Driver Version: 12.15.25.6

PC 2: Windows 10 Pro Version 1903 (Cable connect/disconnect and then reconnect. DOES NOT WORK)

I219-LM: Downloaded from Intel website version 24.1

However, I do not think it is just relegated to the newest drive. I originally observed the problem with a driver dated from 2015. I simply used Update Driver within Windows Device Manager and it grabbed the 3/21/2017 driver. Not sure what governs driver selection.

There seems to be some variable that is preventing identification of a cable connect. Truly appreciate your assistance in trying to determine.
