I219-V can't cast to TV or any other device

I have a Windows 10 system on Z370 chipset with INTEL® ETHERNET CONNECTION I219-V.

Latest drivers is installed.

When I'm trying to use "cast to" option, it falls with error "can't connect to device".

But when I insert additional USB Ethernet adapter, connect it to the same ethernet patch cord, option "cast to" works fine.

So, problem is in I219-V.

How ti fix this problem with DLNA casting?

Hi Vkarpus,

Thank you for posting in Wired Communities. Please provide further information for better investigation:

1) What is the brand and board of your system?

2) What is the driver version installed ? Did you download this driver from Intel or the board vendor site?

3) Can you share the setup? So you are trying to connect your Windows 10 system to the TV via i219-V, where is the i219V connected?

4) What is the brand and model of your TV?

5) When you use the cast to option, are you able to see the TV (DLNA device) in the menu?

6) Is the I219-V working properly if not in use as Cast to TV?

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you.

1. GIGABYTE Z370_HD3

2. Driver from Intel. Driver Date: 27-Dec-17, Version: 12.17.8.9

3. Both devices connected to my router (TP-Link TL-WR741ND) via ethernet.

4. Sony Bravia KDL-55HX853

5. Yes, I can see ,a TV in the Cast To... and it's trying to start, but in a few seconds return the error "Connection to device failed".

6. Yes, I219-V works fine without any other problems.

Hi Vkarpus,

Thank you for the information. As this is onboard NIC on Gigabyte board, have you tried contacting Gigabyte for the customized driver, it is more suitable to use the driver from the board vendor as they might have made changes on the onboard NIC to adapt to their system.

Have you tried re-start the TP-link router? ( I understand the USB ethernet adapter works).

Thanks,

Sharon T
