Hi All,
My machine has an I225-V ethernet adapter on a B550 MOBO. I have Gig internet, but on this desktop I get ~130 Mbps. On other machines I get ~900.
The same is for the WiFi 6 AX200 card that I have. I get around 300 on WiFi on other devices, but 80 Mbps on this desktop.
I have updated drivers, terminated background applications, removed temp files and played with DNS.
Does anyone have other thoughts to optimize? Or are these cards just cashed (they're 2-3 years old).
Thanks

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
Please provide the following information that would help in checking your request.
1. When was the issue first encountered?
2. For how long do you have the B550 motherboard with I225-V Ethernet Connection?
3. Are you able to get more than 130Mbps speed test result during your initial integration?
4. Please provide the System Support Utility (SSU) log of your system. This will allow us to check your Adapter details and configuration. Kindly refer to the steps below.

Hi Crisselle,
Thanks. Please see below and attached for answers.
- The issue has been persistent for several weeks. I used to be able to get ~200Mbps but have never been able to get the full 900
- I have had this motherboard and network adapter for 2 years
- I'm not able to get above 130Mbps at all on this machine.

Hello Ryan14,
Thank you for the swift response.
Please see below details that might help with the issue.
1. Double-check if the established connection speed in the settings can reach 1Gbps. To confirm this, go to Network and Internet Settings. View your Network Properties and scroll down to Link speed (Receive/Transmit).
2. Try setting the Speed & Duplex settings on Advanced tab property of the Intel Ethernet Controller to Auto Negotiation.
3. Lower the value or turn off interrupt moderation as this is best for handling many small packets so the driver is more responsive to incoming and outgoing packets.
4. Disable other I225-V features such as offloading, Energy Efficient Ethernet, and flow control.
5. If your system comes with TurboLAN Cfos, disable the service called cFosSpeed System Service. Closing the program doesn't make any difference, as that service keeps running in the background.
You may also consider checking this link for Intel® Ethernet Connection I219-V Unable to Reach Gigabit Speed. Although the article is for I219-V, this is also applicable to I225-V.
Looking forward to your reply.
We will follow up after 3 business days in case we don't hear from you.

Hello Ryan14,
I hope this message finds you well!
Please be informed that since we have not received an update if our recommendations resolved the issue, you may also need to check this with your motherboard manufacturer, ASUS. Our support is limited since you are using an Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) on-board Ethernet controller. For OEM on-board Ethernet controller, it would still be best to get in touch with Asus for further support since they have customized drivers and software to enable or alter features on your system. They are in best position where you can seek assistance so you do not lose features or customizations of the Ethernet controller.
