Intel 82577LC NIC and Microsoft RIS 2000

We just purchased an HP ProBook 6550b which has an Intel 82577LC GB NIC. I worked with HP for over an hour trying to get my RIS server to recognize the NIC with no luck. I even downloaded the Intel driver and followed the RIS directions in the Readme.txt file but I am still unable to RIS this laptop. Does anyone have a fix for this? My RIS server is Windows 2000 Server SP4.
