Intel 82579 LM causes network to go down when computer is off

I have a windows domain when a computer is shut down with the Intel 82579LM NIC it takes down my network??? I've updated BIOS, updated NIC Drivers, turned off energy power settings for the NIC, any ideas what is going on?

Hi techydana,

Does this happen to only 1 specific computer? My suspicion is that your computer might have this virus that floods the network during shutdown. Try to clean the virus or format and re-install this computer.
