Hello,
I have a Dell PowerEdge R750 server with the Intel E810-2CQDA2 NIC installed. I've been using the NIC as a PXE booting device before without any issues.
After I upgraded the firmware from v3.20 to v4.20, the NIC was no longer detected in the BIOS boot manager. However, the NIC was still detected and working as normal in the OS after booting off the hard drive. Same thing happened with firmware versions v4.01 and v4.10. Is this a known issue with the v4.xx firmware versions? This seems like an issue with the newer firmware versions since I haven't seen it in v3.xx and v2.xx versions. I've already updated the Dell server's BIOS and iDRAC firmware to the latest but nothing seems to be failing except the NIC is no longer detected in the BIOS anymore.

Hi icylane114,
Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Ethernet Communities.
To better understand the problem and provide targeted assistance, could you please provide us with the following information:
1)Photos of the NIC card on both sides, including any Yottamark or BradyID stickers to help us verify if it's an Intel Retails NIC card or OEM NIC card.
2)The URL link where you downloaded the NVM firmware.
In addition, you could try resetting the BIOS settings to their default values, as changing certain settings can sometimes cause issues with hardware detection during the boot process.
We also recommend contacting Dell support, who may be able to provide more targeted troubleshooting based on their knowledge of the PowerEdge R750 server and any known compatibility issues with the NIC.
Thank you for your cooperation, and please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Regards,
Irwan_Intel

Connect one end of your Ethernet cable into the USB Ethernet adapter and the other end into the wall outlet or router. Plug your USB Ethernet adapter into one of the USB ports on the back of the meter. Turn the power on using the switch on the back of your machine. Press Options once your meter turns on.
