Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.

For us to further check and investigate the issue, please provide the following details.

  2. Are you trying to update the firmware of X552?
  3. Can you further explain the issue?

Hello panchuane,

Thank you for the quick reply. Since you are using an onboard X552 network card on a SuperMicro system, it is best to contact them on how to update the firmware of the network card. The reason for that is each system has their own file and they have different procedures on how to update the firmware. Just to add, you can use Intel's NVM firmware update file on OEM network card and vice versa because it may damage the card.

At this point, the best support team is the manufacturer of your system. Please contact them for further assistance. You may start on this link and click on support.

Hello panchuane,

I hope you're having a wonderful day. I am just sending another follow up hoping that you already contacted SuperMicro for the NVM update assistance. Since we have not heard back from you, I need to close this inquiry.

If you need further assistance, please post a new question.

Thank you and stay safe.
