thank you for your feedback.

But i would like to know FPO# definition of WGI211AT SLJXZ .

In case of E3825,

For example, FPO# = X750C385

1st letter or digit = plant code

0 = San Jose, Costa Rica

1 = Cavite, Philippines

3 = .............., Costa Rica

6 = Chandler, Arizona

7 = .........., Philippines

8 = Leixlip, Ireland

9 = Penang, Malaysia

L = ............, Malaysia

Q = ..........., Malaysia

R = Manila, Philippines

Y = Leixlip, Ireland

J  = Malay

X = Vietnam ===> this one

2nd digit = Year of production ===>7 means 2017

3rd & 4th digits = week ===>WW50

5th - 8th digits= lot number ===>C385

I know the FPO# format of WGI211AT SLJXZ is below.

Hello aecyam,

Apologies for the delay on this matter.

The WGI211AT does not have FPO similar to processors. It only does have Fab lot trace code. See document on page 3 and 4.

In case you are looking for country of origin of WGI211AT, you may check this link for Country of Origin for Intel® Ethernet Controllers. The WGI211AT was manufactured in Taiwan.

Dear Crisselle C.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand LAN chip has only a Fab lot Trace code, not FPO#.

But I would like to know the definition of Fab lot Trace code.

>>Fab Lot Trace Code 0123456.78 (10-char max)

For example,

0 means country

1 means 202x year

2-3rd means WW??

4 means ?

5 means ?

6 means ?

7,8  means ?

Aecyam

Hello Aecyam,

Apologies for the delay on this matter.

Please see below information for the response from our engineering team.

It is 2 digit year, 2 digit week, then the plant code where it was made. These are all made in Taiwan.

Feel free to let us know if you have questions and clarifications.

We look forward to your reply.

Should there be no response from you, we will follow up after 3 business days.

Dear CrisselleF_C_Intel,

Thank you for your reply.

I would like to confirm again.

Regarding Fab Lot Trace code from you as below.

Intel® Ethernet Controller I211 Specification Update

https://cdrdv2.intel.com/v1/dl/getContent/333015

Fab Lot Trace Code 0123456.78 (10-char max)

So, your answer is below.

There is no plant code, because LAN chips are all made in Taiwan.

0 ー 1 = YY  (ex.2021 ⇒21)

2 ー 3 = WW

4 ー 6 = lot number ⇒ only 3digit?

7,8  means ?

But  My expectation is below.

0    = Y  (ex.2021 ⇒1)

1 ー 2 = WW

3 ー 6 = lot number 4digit

7,8  means ?

Please check again it.

N.Yamada

Hello Aecyam,

Apologies for the delay.

We already escalated this request to our next level support. Please see below details for their feedback.

According to Spec Update, the Fab Lot Trace code consist of 8 to 10 character max.

And based from engineering

0ー1 = YY

2ー3 = WW

4 onwards - Plant code

In case you still find it different of what you expected, may we know where did you get the information so we can further check? Because the information provided came directly from our engineering team who handles this Ethernet controllers.

Awaiting to your reply.

Should there be no response, we will follow up after 3 business days.

Dear Crisselle C.

Thank you for your reply.

I understand it.

But I would like to final question.

Your answer is below.

    0ー1 = YY

    2ー3 = WW

    4 onwards - Plant code

But, the plant code usually means final plant country (1 digit) below in case of CPU.

Your Plant Code means lot number like a serial number.

is it right?

1st letter or digit = plant code

0 = San Jose, Costa Rica

1 = Cavite, Philippines

3 = .............., Costa Rica

6 = Chandler, Arizona

7 = .........., Philippines

8 = Leixlip, Ireland

9 = Penang, Malaysia

L = ............, Malaysia

Q = ..........., Malaysia

R = Manila, Philippines

Y = Leixlip, Ireland

J  = Malay

X = Vietnam

Hello Aecyam,

Thank you for the patience on this matter.

We received an update from engineering that the fab code (4 digit onwards) is not similar to the FPO markings of the processor. Unfortunately, this is provided by 3rd party because we outsource fab for the ethernet chips. What we can only confirm that all the I211 chips are made in Taiwan.

Country of Origin for Intel® Ethernet Controllers

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000032233/ethernet-products/gigabit-ethernet-controllers-up-to-2-5gbe.html

Please accept our sincerest apologies as we cannot provide the fab code meaning. These markings are provided by outsourced fab for the ethernet chips.

Feel free to let us know if you have questions and clarifications.

We look forward to your reply.
