The WGI211AT does not have FPO similar to processors. It only does have Fab lot trace code. See document on page 3 and 4.

But I would like to know the definition of Fab lot Trace code.

There is no plant code, because LAN chips are all made in Taiwan.

0 ー 1 = YY  (ex.2021 ⇒21)

2 ー 3 = WW

4 ー 6 = lot number　⇒　only　3digit?

7,8  means ?

But  My expectation is below.

0 　　 = Y  (ex.2021 ⇒1)

1 ー 2 = WW

3 ー 6 = lot number　4digit

7,8  means ?

According to Spec Update, the Fab Lot Trace code consist of 8 to 10 character max.

And based from engineering

0ー1 = YY 

2ー3 = WW

4 onwards - Plant code  

In case you still find it different of what you expected, may we know where did you get the information so we can further check? Because the information provided came directly from our engineering team who handles this Ethernet controllers.

But, the plant code usually means final plant country (1 digit) below in case of CPU.

Your Plant Code means lot number like a serial number.

is it right?

Thank you for the patience on this matter.

We received an update from engineering that the fab code (4 digit onwards) is not similar to the FPO markings of the processor. Unfortunately, this is provided by 3rd party because we outsource fab for the ethernet chips. What we can only confirm that all the I211 chips are made in Taiwan.
