Hi @ all,
I want to use an Intel I340-F4 Card in an enviroment, where there is only TX comminucations and no RX. (unidirectional communication)
I'am using the Linux igb driver on an 64-Bit Ubuntu.
Is it possible to use only one channel? And how?
Regards
Chris

Hi Chris,
You will need both transmit and receive to establish the Ethernet link even if the data is only being sent in one direction.

Hi Hold,
Thank you for contacting Intel.
The Intel® Ethernet Server Adapters with fiber optic connector requires that RX and TX ports be connected. The network adapter won't connect when only 1 port (RX or TX) is connected.
Sincerely,
Sandy
