Hi;
We are planning to use teaming on server onboard intel ethernets for redundancy. We have two switches and we will connect each ethernet to seperated switch.
But we want, when connected switch uplink port is down (not connected to server side) is down, our connection hasnt to be lost to server and out comminucation must be go on.
Which teaming method should we use ?
thanks.

Hi, you can try looking into "switch fault tolerance" teaming mode, this mode will trigger if the primary switch went down, need to enable STP on the 2 switch.
more details on teaming can be found in this link - http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/cs-009747.htm?wapkw=%28CS-009747%29 http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/cs-009747.htm?wapkw=%28CS-009747%29
hope this help.

I see, but you said that ; when the switch went down...i was wondering when the switch uplink is down, so switch is up but uplink port which is connected to backbone or firewall etc. is down.
Thanks.
