Referring to the original at: https://community.intel.com/t5/Ethernet-Products/Intel-Wi-fi-6-AX201-can-t-wake-on-ethernet-Lan/m-p/1698264/emcs_t/S2h8ZW1haWx8dG9waWNfc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9ufE1DMk9UNFU3TE9XSTU5fDE2OTgyNjR8U1VCU0NSSVBUSU9OU3xoSw I have been asked by email to view the replies and mark one as an accepted solution. None of them are but I am unable to reply to the email, as it's from "noreply", and clicking the Reply button in the topic thread has no effect. Hence, I've had to continue this in a new topic. What I've discovered is that wake on LAN is not available on the PC, so the properties for the LAN and wi-fi adapters in Windows Device Manager do not have Power Management tabs. The powercfg command reveals that it uses "Modern Standby" (S0) instead of "Legacy Standby" (S3): >powercfg /a The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected Hibernate Fast Startup The following sleep states are not available on this system: Standby (S1) The system firmware does not support this standby state. This standby state is disabled when S0 low power idle is supported. Standby (S2) The system firmware does not support this standby state. This standby state is disabled when S0 low power idle is supported. Standby (S3) This standby state is disabled when S0 low power idle is supported. Hybrid Sleep Standby (S3) is not available. The hypervisor does not support this standby state. It turns out that, with S0, Remote Desktop and network file access can wake the PC up, so wake on LAN is redundant. Thanks to everyone for their input on this.

Hello Helios1,

Thank you for sharing your findings and the challenges you've encountered with marking a solution in the original thread. It seems you've discovered that your system's use of "Modern Standby" (S0) makes Wake on LAN unnecessary, as Remote Desktop and network file access can wake the PC.

I understand the difficulty in responding to a "noreply" email and the issue with the Reply button in the thread. It's great that you continued the discussion in a new topic to share your insights.

If you need further assistance or have additional questions, feel free to reach out here. Your contribution is valuable to the community, and I'm sure others will benefit from your experience.

Thank you for your persistence and for keeping us updated.
