Intel X710-DA2 - C#/C++ code to prove the loopback

Hi,

We have released a purchase order for Intel X520 10G ethernet adapter.

Now the vendor is telling that X520 is end of life and the replacement is X710-DA2.

I want the 10G network adapter to be used with Z820 Workstation(Windows 7 64 bit OS) from HP.

HP has suggested drivers for Z820.

As per your website:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025890/network-and-i-o/ethernet-products.html

X710-DA2 is not supported in windows 7 64bit OS and windows 10 64 bit OS.

Can you please verify?

I have some C++/C# code for proving the 1G UDP protocol based data transfer between 2 PCs.

Ref: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.net.sockets.udpclient?view=netcore-3.1

Will the same code work for X710-DA2?

Do you have sample code (C++/C#) to prove the UDP protocol based data transfer between two ports in the X710.

I have a loopback cable to connect the two ports.

Regards,

Vinod

Hello vinodv,

Good day!

Can you please confirm what is the exact model of X520 you require as the Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X520-QDA1 and Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X520-T2 are the only EOL adapters from X520 series?

Please refer to this link for the list of Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter X520 Series. If the status is 'Launched', this means that the adapter is still being manufactured by Intel. If 'Discontinued', meaning that Intel has stop manufacturing the specific product.
