Hi,
Currently, we are using Intel I-350-T2 cards with igb driver version igb-5.0.6 with our RHEL 6.4 - 64 bit boxes. And we have configured our /etc/modprobe.d/igb.conf file as
options igb InterruptThrottleRate=0,0 LLIPort=8080,3306
To my understanding, with these given parameters igb driver will be initialized with both
igb: 0000:01:00.0: igb_check_options: Interrupt Throttling Rate (ints/sec) turned off
igb: 0000:01:00.0: igb_validate_option: Low Latency Interrupt TCP Port set to 8080
Would like to know, the correct way of using these parameters and benefits of those parameter when used individually and combined
Also, like to have the suggestions and comments from the Community for getting the best out of Intel IGB driver parameter for small packet networks
Thanks / Chithirai Ganesh
