Invalidate iNVM on i210 using EepromAccessTool

I would like to know how to invalidate the iNVM programming on an i210 phy using EepromAccessTool so the device can be re-programmed.  I currently have a HEX file that I intend to use for programming the correct information, but I need to know how to invalidate the current settings, so the chip can be re-programmed.

thanks

Thank you Simon, but I am unable to access the "EEPROM Tool User Guide", or the link to "EEPROM Access Tool (EAT)", because they require a developer account, and when I try to request access via AGS it rejects my email address.

Is there another way I can access the documents?

Or if not, could you provide me with the contents of the HEX file I would need to use to invalidate the iNVM on the I210 chip?

Thank you

Hi Matt-Fatheree,

We would like to inform you that the above requested information is available in the Intel® Resource and Documentation Center (RDC). If you already have access to RDC, you can easily find the relevant details by logging in using the link below:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/resources-documentation/developer.html#gs.l2ynor

If you do not have access to RDC, please refer to below link for How to Apply for an Intel® Resource and Documentation Center (RDC) and/or Intel® Developer Zone (Intel® DevZone) Account.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058073/programs/resource-and-documentation-center.html?wapkw=000058073

Additionally, please note that standard Corporate Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA) is required to access the RDC. If you do not have an active CNDA, we recommend contacting one of our Intel® Representative / Distributors from your organization, who will be able to assist you in getting the CNDA signed with Intel.

Hi Simon,

Thank you for following up.  I submitted a request to get "Developer Zone Premier" access, and that was approved, but when I try to access the links you sent related to EepromAccessTool I am still taken to the page that say "Developer Access Required".

I am particularly interested in the Documentation for EepromAccessTool, because I already have the I210 data sheet, as well as the actual EepromAccessTool executable.

Is there a way you can verify I received the right access rights, and if not let me know what I need to do to get the documentation?

Thanks

Matt

I am still unable to access the document for EEPROM tool.  It still says developer access required when I attempt to use the link above.

However, I was able to replace the EEPROM chip on the unit, and move past the issue I was having.

You can close this issue for now if you would like.

But it would still be beneficial to get the EEPROM tool documentation.
