Hello,
I've been working with the Intel E810-XXVDA4T NIC and have come across an unexpected behavior that I'd like to discuss and seek assistance on.
Setup:
Linux 5.11.22-100.fc32.x86_64
NIC: Intel E810
driver: ice
version: 1.12.6
firmware-version: 4.20 0x8001778b 1.3346.0
expansion-rom-version:
bus-info: 0000:01:00.0
supports-statistics: yes
supports-test: yes
supports-eeprom-access: yes
supports-register-dump: yes
supports-priv-flags: yes
Issue:
When I execute the following commands:
and
I observe that the pin gets closed. This behavior is unexpected, especially since enp1s0f1 and enp1s0f0 are not on the same bus.
Expected Behavior: Given that the two commands are addressing different buses, I would expect that the actions on one bus would not affect the other.
Question:
Is there a known reason for this behavior?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Best regards,
Aviad

Greetings Avi,
Thank you for contacting Intel Customer Support.
May I know if you are trying to run the PTP and PHY timers?
Besides, you can also refer to the E810 datasheet page 1444 Chapter 9.7
