I have recently reinstalled Windows XP 5.1 SP3 on an Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHx CPU, 0.99 GB RAM.
I cannot connect to the Internet because the Network connections folder is enpty. I went to the Device manager and it said that the driver for the Ethernet controller is not installed. The driver could not be found on the HD or installation CD. The details of the driver are as follows.
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_103A&SUBSYS_30138086&REV_82\4&1A671D0C&0&40F0
It would appear that the VEN_8086 means that Intel is the manufacturer. However I have been unable to find a driver matching those specifications on this site. Any assistance with finding this driver would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,
Peter.

Someone on another site answered my qeustion. The required driver was an Intel 82801DB PRO/100 VE (CNR) Ethernet Controller. I installed it and my Internet connection works great.
