I'm looking for a means to determine the duplex mode when my 82577LM nic connects to a given network port. Wondering if anyone knows of a tool kit or application that can be run to determine or get this info. I know you can hard code/force the selection on the card but instead what I'm looking for is to have the card set to auto-negotiate, plug the nic into a network port, and then determine how the nic card negotiates the duplex mode.

Forgot to add in my earlier post that I'm using WinXP O/S. I'm familiar with how to get the info using Linux but not convenient rebooting laptop to linux o/s just to get that info.
