I have a perplexing question.
My set up:
ASROCK H470 Custom, i5-4.3Ghz, Patriot 32GB ram, LC-Power 1Tb M.2 SSD NVME,
2 X Samsung 1Tb Evo 870,
Win11 Pro,
H470M-STX PCI-express 3.0 (8.0 GT/s)
Intel Comet Lake Rev. 05
Intel Southbridge H470 Rev. 00
===
Intel®(R) Ethernet Connection (11) I219-V
Driver File Version: 12.19.1.32
According to Intel Devices and Drivers site ….
Provider is Microsoft
Version 12.19.1.32
Date 6/24/2021
Relating to the Advanced setting of the adaptor.
In the last week I upgraded to Win11 Pro from 10 and absolutely no issues. However, I now have the perplexing situation. Prior to upgrading the list of advanced variables contained the lists below. Subsequently after the update I have a much shorter list and with 2 components missing labelled “No description”
The current list shows the following settings now available: (LIST 1)
LIST 1
Adaptive Inter-Frame Spacing
ARP Offload
Flow control
Gigabit Master Slave Mode
Interrupt Moderation
Interrupt Moderation Rate
IPv4 Checksum Offload
Jumbo Packet
Large Send Offload V2 IPv4
Large Send Offload V2 IPv6
Locally Administered Address
Log Link State Event
No Description •
No Description •
NS Offload
Packet Priority & VLAN
Receive Buffers
Speed & Duplex
TCP Checksum Offload IPv4
TCP Checksum Offload IPv6
Transmit Buffers
UDP Checksum Offload IPv4
UDP Checksum Offload IPv6
Wait for Link
Prior to the above I had all these additional settings below (LIST 2) included with the above:
LIST 2
Enable PME
Energy Efficient Ethernet
Legacy Switch Compatibility Mode
Link SpeedBattery Saver
Locally Administered Address
Log Link State Event
Max Number of RSS Queues
PTP Hardware Stamp
Receive Side Scaling
Reduce Speed On Power Down
RSS load balancing profile
Software Timestamp
System Idle Power Saver
Ultra Low Power Mode
Wake from S0ix on Magic Packet
Wake on Link Settings
Wake on Magic Packet
Wake on Pattern Match
I now have no idea what the No Description settings relate to and why I have lost all the former additional settings.
I have used the Intel software updater and all shows everything is up to date.
Advice and knowledge much appreciated.

Hello Lestrade,
Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.
For us to further check the issue, please provide the following details.
- Are you using a PCIe I219-V or is it onboard?
- Can you share the link of the network driver that you are using right now?
- Aside from the settings, are you having issues with your network connection?
If you have questions, please let us know. In case we do not hear from you, we will make a follow up after 3 workings days. Thank you.
Best regards,

Hi Michael,
In answer to Q1.
Matching device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0D4D
Physical device Object name: \Device\NTPNP_PCI0013
Location Info: PCI bus 0, device 31, function 6
Bus -type GUID: {c8ebdfb0-b510-11d0-80e5-00a0c92542e3}
When you say "share the link" ...this Mini PC has 2 users...Myself administrator and 2 user my wife. When she is on "her side"
no problems connecting.
Aside from these issues, no real problems save for sporadic disconnects. I do believe one of the missing components is
the settings for "RSS Queues", I was able to select Queue 1 through to 4 from a drop down list before.
Thanks

Hello Michael,
Followed your instructions and all worked perfectly with the latest driver package. Everything as it should be and no missing items and went smoothly.
Can you answer the final question. Where can I find the definitive answer regarding the best "Advance Settings" for 1g Coax fibre internet service. I hear and see so many variables and see so many YouTube videos of what is best or not.
At least if I can see from Intel their suggested "Advanced Settings" then at least I am in a good place.
My regards,
Michael

Hello Lestrade,
Thank you for patiently waiting for our update.
Upon further checking there is no definitive or best recommended configuration to improve bandwidth performance as its also depends on whole system configuration, OS and not only on the cable/ISP. What we can only suggest is for you to check the following guides for your following references.
Advanced Settings for Intel® Ethernet Adapters
Jumbo Frames and Jumbo Packets Notes
For the following 'Max Number of RSS Queues' and 'RSS load balancing profile', you may also check the downlink link below. This also includes "Optimizing performance on page 54" however please do take note that some recommendations may only applicable to Intel Ethernet Adapters.
Adapter User Guide for Intel® Ethernet Adapters
Motherboard and OS manufacturer may also help as they can provide possible BIOS configurations and OS settings to improve performance.
You can check with Microsoft if they have similar recommendations below for Windows 11.
Providing this link for his reference only.

Many thanks thus far,
It seems that I do not have the Pro Set installed as I originally did have the settings such as "RSS QUEUE" etc.
My current driver version on this new machine is 12.19.2.45 after your recommended reinstall (successful).....
Driver date is 30/01/2022...
Should I download the Pro Set and install?
My regards,
Michael

Hello Lestrade,
Thank you for the quick response. You ay install PROSet if there will be difference, however we recommend to check this issue with Asrock since the network card is onboard.
If you have questions, please let us know. In case we do not hear from you, we will make a follow up after 3 workings days. Thank you.

Michael,
It appears that I did have the Pro Set installed on this new PC last year and for some reason when converting from Win10 to 11 the basic adaptor settings were installed minus the Pro set. That is why I am missing those selectable items as discussed.
Can you please provide me with the link to download the correct version for my Win11 Pro set up.
I did find a supposed correct installation file on Softpedia 'Intel PROSet/Network Adapter Driver 27.6 for Windows 11' but it will not install as it says system not supported. I always back up my "stuff" and always create a restore point whenever doing something like this.
Many thanks,

Hello Lestrade,
Thank you for the quick response. Upon further checking the reason why PROSet was there after updating to Windows 11 is for Intel retail network cards, PROSet is not supported in Windows 11.
However, please try and check if Asrock can provide a PROSet installer. Onboard network cards are considered OEM units. OEM manufacturer may have custom driver, software and firmware to enable/disable some features of your network card.
If you have questions, please let us know. In case we do not hear from you, we will make a follow up after 3 workings days. Thank you.

Hi Michael,
Just to update you in as much that all is good with the adaptor. Asrock have said that the Pro set does work with my adaptor and they have tested it, however MS Win11 have removed some of settings. With regards to my issue I upgraded from 10Pro to 11Pro and subsequently the drivers did change and the result were my questions.
I would still like to update to the 'Pro Set' so if there is a link to it that would be great. I will give it one last shot.
I did download a Proset installer (other post) and the message said it was incompatible with the system and did not install. Maybe I selected the incorrect item (I doubt it as I am very focused).
Look forward to you reply,
