Hi Devi,
Thanks for your reply.
I saw the link you posted,
the content mentions the 710 do not support PTPv2.1,
so the 710 support PTPv2 right?
I tried to change the same OS to another motherboard,
its onboard network chip is Intel I225,
when I execute the same command, it shows "PTP hardware clock 0" .
Command:
.ethtool -T enp3s0
Time stamping parameters for enp3s0:
Capabilities:
hardware-transmit
software-transmit
hardware-receive
software-receive
software-system-clock
hardware-raw-clock
PTP Hardware Clock: 0
Hardware Transmit Timestamp Modes:
off
on
Hardware Receive Filter Modes:
none
all
.ethtool -i enp3s0
driver: igc
version: 6.4.11
firmware-version: 1057:8754
expansion-rom-version:
bus-info: 0000:03:00.0
supports-statistics: yes
supports-test: yes
supports-eeprom-access: yes
supports-register-dump: yes
supports-priv-flags: yes
I want to know why it doesn't work on my onboard X710AT2 NIC,
is it a problem with the newer i40e driver?
