I have recently found the PTP protocol was disabled on x710 due to security reason (L4 timestamping rejected, intel-SA-00063) . Just wondering any plan to enable PTP in the future?

Hi FanBin,
Further checking, there is no specific mention the PTP was disabled. Based on the feature maxtrix for X710 "The device only processes PTP packets using the Layer 2 packet format" stated on page 13 of https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/release-notes/xl710-ethernet-controller-feature-matrix.pdf
Currently we do not have information regarding PTP in the future.
Thanks,
Sharon T
