Problem finding driver for Intel Desktop adaptor driver Pro/1000 PL

Hello,

I have the problem of not finding the driver for intel pro/1000 PL network driver. Can anyone help me with this?

The motherboard is Intel Desktop D 945 PSN and I need the drivers for windows 7. The latest driver that I have downloaded was from 16/06/2011 version 9.14.180.0 and I can't find it anywhere on Intel. I can't understand that I can't find that driver nowhere here when a year earlier I downloaded that driver without any problems from Intel. Why is that? That's not normal to my understanding or is there a logical explanation for it?

The supported drivers for your motherboard are at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%c2%ae+945+Express+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+Desktop+Board+D945PSN Download Center. As I recall, that motherboard isn't supported in Windows 7, but you might still be able to find updated drivers for some individual components.

You can find WIndows 7 drivers for Ethernet at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=18713 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=18713. The latest drivers for the Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection are in those downloads.

Hello Mark,

Yes I need the driver for the network adapter 1000/PL and that driver (16/06/2011 version 9.14.180.0) is even onboard in Windows 8 but not in WIndows 7. In the past I have downloaded it without any problems for XP but even for XP can I not find that driver anymore. Why is that?

I have looked on the site that you gave me but I can not see 1000 PL in that list. Is there maybe another driver that I can use for 1000PL? Maybe 1000PT of PF for under Windows 7?

The driver for the Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection is the same driver used for the other adapters you mentioned on the list. There are drivers in that package for WIndows XP through WIndows 7 that will work with the Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection. There is not any driver for Windows 8 except for the driver that is included in the OS.
