Hello Problemloeser2014,
Thank you for posting in Intel Wired Ethernet Community. Please provide the product code from the X550 adapter as displayed in this https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000007060/network-and-i-o/ethernet-products.html link. Is the issue identical to the previous thread. The adapter is detected, but not in VMware 6.5 U2 console. If you called VMware support did they indicate the firmware necessary to resolve this? If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Best regards,
Daniel D

I cannot finde the product code like in the link but I have pictures:
Exactly as described the adapter does not apear in console.
BUT! In ESXi 6.7 it does!
There is no new driver for 6.5 like in 6.7.
That is why I think you should talk to vmware and deliver a new driver for 6.5U2.
It is whitelisted but not working. That is really weird. Not?
For me it doesnt matter how to get a compatible driver, but there are no vmware drivers on your website.
How can we proceed? What do you think, how much time we need until a solution?
Thank you.

It has been resolved.
Using driver: https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/details?downloadGroup=DT-ESX60-INTEL-NIC-IXGBE-453&productId=491 Download VMware vSphere worked for us.
