I'm using the SS4200-E with my Windows XP system and the system seems to "hang" a lot. That is, all data stops going to/from the device. After several minutes it comes back, but this hanging is very frustrating.
I've updated the firmware -- it's running the latest. Seen some solutions for Vista users, but I don't have Vista.
I've also swapped network switches and cables to isolate it the problem to the SS4200. Is there anything I can do to get this to work with Windows XP short of replacing the guts with a nano system running Linux?

Hard to say. When it stops responding to one client, can other clients ping it, or send or recieve data?

It's absolutely misunderstable for me, that I ididn't find any answer on it!
I think this problem have all people using WinXP & SS4200-E ... I tried to play MP3s placed on storage from 3 various computers and the result was always the same !!! After 8-12 minutes playing stoped and network drive connection crashed.

It'd be hard to, without more details; especially trying from other computers and OSes.
