Why do they say that? Interesting. I never saw this work before. I am very curious about the driver and software versions you are using.

On the adapter's Link Speed tab, what is your PROSet version?

What is your driver version on the adapter?

What is your driver version on the team?

Proset: 16.3.48.0

Adapter Driver: 8.3.15.0 (Date: 23/09/2008) Team Driver: 9.8.37.0 (Date: 6/04/2011) I installed the latest PROWinx64 installer from Intel. When I first tried to execute it I got an error about the driver, so I extracted the "PRO1000" driver files from the installer and updated the adapter drivers manually via Device Manager (The Intel driver replaced an older Microsoft driver). Then I re-tried the PROWinx64 installer and it installed without a hitch.

tried it on proset package 16.4 package, using similiar pro1000mt dual port on win7 64bit and approach to extract the files, able to make the teaming/vlan tab appeared for MT dual model...

Where did you get a 16.4 from? The latest I could find was 16.3.48.0. Actually, the installer package version was 4.0.100.1124. Is it just me, or does intel make it very hard to find proset...

You should be able to get version 16.4 from the Intel Download Center. Search on http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&keyword=%2216.4+proset%22 16.4 proset. If you get 16.3 in the download, then you are probably seeing a cached copy. Try clearing out your browser's cache.

Thanks, got 16.4 installed now.

So I guess Intel's reasons for stating that teaming doesn't work with PCI/X cards in Windows 7 will remain a mystery... Perhaps it's outdated info and they've fixed a problem since writing that.
