The driver failed to load because unsupported module type was detected.

Hi,

I am facing issue with i40e driver for Ethernet Converged Network Adopter X710 while using it with 10G SFPs (Fiberxon).

How can I enable an option for allow unsupported sfp in i40e (version 1.2.48) driver?

It is recommended to use the supported fiber optics, please refer to the http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/ethernet-x710-brief.pdf product brief for the fiber optic partnubmer at http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/ethernet-x710-brief.pdf

From what I know the driver is for the network adapter, there is no option to enable for unsupported SFP.
