I'm not sure this is right place, if not, I'm sorry. So I have a new XPS 13 9380 and I cannot get the Thunderbolt Control Center to download from the Microsoft Store. Has anyone else had this issue or know of any fix?
I've called Microsoft and they said it was an intel issue with their server working correctly.
Thanks

Hello MThom40
Thank you for posting in the Intel Community.
I would like to share with you that Thunderbolt™ is a technology that computer manufacturers customize for their platforms. Intel provides firmware and driver updates directly to OEMs (HP*, Lenovo*, Dell*, and so on) and doesn't support their products. It's their responsibility to test and validate updates before posting them for on their support websites.
Intel does support Thunderbolt on Intel® NUC products (https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/search.html?_charset_=UTF-8&q=intel+nuc+).
In this case I recommend referring this download issue to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) DELL™ or Microsoft® support. (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html).

Hope this helps.

I dont need a driver for the thunderbolt port. I need the Thunderbolt Control Center that Intel is using the Microsoft store to distribute.
Right now I am using a VERY old driver from 2017 so that I can use the old Thunderbolt Software to approve and connect my thunderbolt devices but I know soon Windows will update that driver and I'll need to use the Thunderbolt Control Center.

Hello MThom40
In this case the issue to complete the download from the Microsoft® store is an error that should be reported on their end, as mentioned previously Intel provides the firmware and drivers to the OEM but Intel® does not support their products.

Lovely. Microsoft said it was an issue with Intel's servers not deploying the software correctly.
